Sparkle and Shine Card- with Silver Glitter Paper

Hello to you all and sorry for such a late post or I could say early since it is 1:00am in the morning.  This day just slipped by me and before I knew it we were getting ready for bed and all that crazy stuff.

I did not want to got without posting something so here is a super duper easy card but with the glitter paper it gives it a fancy look.  This is post card style and your actual message goes inside the cute little envelope.  I love this idea, it allows me to write just a small note instead of feeling like I have to fill the whole card up.  Using the boho punch and a little ribbon I really like how it turned out!  Gotta love that glitter paper!

Here is a supply list  for you:
  • Colors Scheme- Early Espresso, Pool Party, Rich Razzelberry, Daffodil delight, Whisper White, Silver glitter paper
  • Stamp sets- Feeling sentimental (Retired). You can use any sentiment
  • Embellishments-1/8 Taffeta Ribbon in daffodil delight, Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • Big Shot- Perfect Polka Dot Folder, Scallop Envelope Bigz

Banner card with 'Tea for Two' DSP

Hello!  We have been busy here today.  We just finished spring break so we are slowly getting back into the swing of things.  I am excited for summer that is for sure.  Well enough about that... on to why you are here.

I love the new Designer Series Paper 'Tea for Two' from Stampin' Up.   I can never decide which one I want to use and which one I like the most.  With this banner card I get to use my favorites at the moment.  I made a bunch of these cards without stamping the sentiment for my mom for her birthday.  This way she can put whatever sentiment she would like on it, when she needs it.  I hope you like it, see you tomorrow.

Here is a supply list  if you want to make one at home for someone.
  • Colors Scheme- Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Primrose Petals, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla
  • Stamp sets- Very Vintage (Retired)  You can use any sentiment
  • Embellishments-3/16 metallic Brads
  • Big Shot- Labels Collection Framelits, Perfect Polka Dot Folder

Mother Day Card using Nacho Average Challenge #41

I love my mother, she is the most amazing person in my world.  She has done so much for me and continues to always be there for me in every way.  I can truly say she is my best friend second to my husband (would not want to hurt his feelings).  Needless to say I am already thinking of mothers day and all the things I could do for her.  We both have the love of crafting and she was kind enough to share a little of her talent with me.  So what better thing to give her than some homemade cards.
This card will be perfect because once again I will have everything done except the sentiment, and then she can stamp whatever she would like... as long as it fits on her banner.
Take a look at that awesome flower, can you believe it is paper?  My up-line Julie Wadlinger showed me this awesome technique.  I don't even know if there is a name for it so if you know of one comment so we can know.
I used the Nacho Average Challenge #4l which was perfect for this flower, it just showcases it beautifully.  Want to know how to make the flower?

This is how you do it.
  • Punch your desired circular punch, I used the blossom punch for mine.  I punched 4 but once again you can do as many as you like.  Play around with it and see what you like best.
  • Stack them together,  punch a hole in center of them, then use a brad to attach them together.  You can use a decorative brad.  I used a boring one so I put a large rhinestone over it.
  • Using a spray bottle on your mist setting spray a few times to moisten your top layer then scrunch and fold in, I usually fold around the brad using it as a guide.  Continue doing each layer until all layers have been sprayed and scrunched.
  • Then for the fun part, just un-scrunch and unfold off the brad, just play with it until you like the look of it.
  • When you are all finished and like the look just set aside and let dry, it will be crunchy when dry.
I hope you like it, give it a try, it was a lot of fun.  Thanks Julie for sharing!!

    Here is a supply list:
    • Color Scheme- Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight,  Pretty in Pink, Lucky Limeade and Crumb Cake for sponging
    • Stamp sets- Delightful dozen
    • Embellishments- Brads, Large Rhinestone, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade
    • Punches- Blossom

Just Because Blog Hop

So how was everyones Easter?  Ours was crazy and fun all at the same time.  I can't believe it is come and gone. Wow does time fly.

Here are some of the cute little treats we made for neighbors and friends "just because" we love them.  My girls absolutely loved making them and I sure loved the help, seems how we made over 20. My favorite is the chocolate bunny with a bite out of his ear and of course there cute little pom pom bum on the back. They are actually quite simple with all the paper punches Stampin' Up! has.

Don't forget to check out all the other blogs from our hop they always do some awesome stuff... Just because!
